Lisa is a Generally Registered Psychologist with a Masters qualification in Organisational Psychology. She is an experienced workplace, leadership and executive coach whose authentic, disarming and warm manner provides a safe environment for you to share your concerns, explore your story and build a pathway forwards.

Lisa is passionate about supporting people from all walks of life to live fully and get the most from their lives at both home and at work. She takes a collaborative approach and draws from therapeutic models such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Positive Psychology, Schema Therapy and Solutions Focused Coaching; therefore can tailor her support to suit your needs and preferences.

Lisa has special interest in the design and delivery of workplace initiatives, where she has several years experience working in consulting, supporting employees, leaders, teams, and organisations to improve systems, processes, practices and skill sets, to make workplaces conducive to effectiveness, efficiency and wellbeing. She has coached leaders from the front line to the boardroom to be better skilled in supporting their employees and driving outcomes.

Lisa is deeply passionate about the perinatal space. Women and birthing partners go through tremendous change when preparing for and entering mother/parenthood. It is a hormonal, physical and mental adjustment comparable to that of adolescence (such that it is now actually termed Matrescence); yet we continue to under-estimate the toll it can take mentally. She wants to work primarily with women and birthing partners across the perinatal space, such as those:

- Trying to conceive (e.g., fertility struggle, IVF/IUI, miscarriage)

- Going through pregnancy

- Navigating post-natal mental health challenges (e.g., adjustment, depression/anxiety, return to work)

“I am passionate about the perinatal space partly because I have first hand lived experience across each and countless women in my own life who I have seen struggle on without support.”
— Lisa Thorpe
