Cancellation & Rescheduling

At Modern Minds we have a strict cancellation policy. Please carefully read our cancellation and rescheduling policy below.

Cancellation Policy

If you are unable to keep an appointment, Modern Minds requires 48-hours notice. This reasonable notice is required as a courtesy to your Modern Minds practitioner and other clients who are waiting and may require care. Appointments that are cancelled or not attended within this time period will be charged a full session fee. You will not be able to claim this cancellation charge through Medicare.

Any deposit (if paid) while booking is non-refundable. Should you need to cancel, this deposit can be credited for another session, or any other service offered at Modern Minds.

You can cancel an appointment via our Client Portal, here.

Rescheduling

We understand there can be circumstances outside of our control. To reschedule your appointment you must first cancel it within the online Client Portal, here. Once cancelled, please email us at hello@modernminds.com.au to reschedule your appointment and move your deposit.

Please remember rescheduling also requires a 48 hour notice before your appointment.

Follow-up Appointments

All follow-up appointments are required to be booked via the online Client Portal, here. Unfortunately our admin team are no longer able to book appointments on behalf of our clients. However, we are here to help should you have any questions about availabilities or waiting lists. Please contact us here if you need assistance.

Interruptions in Therapy

In the event of expected interruptions to therapy (e.g., vacation, long-term absences), Modern Minds will discuss this with the client and provide a referral to another Psychologist. In the case of unexpected interruptions to therapy (e.g., the Psychologist is incapacitated through ill-health, injury or death), our Clinic Manager will inform your general practitioner to make future plans for your care.
