Leisa is both a Registered Psychologist and Gestalt Clinician who uses a range of therapeutic modalities including Gestalt Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy processes (CBT), Mindfulness approaches, Self-Compassion, Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Schema Therapy.

Leisa is a dedicated therapist with a special interest in supporting a healthy relationship with self and other. Rooted in a profound understanding of human connection and the transformative power of experiential processes she brings a unique blend of authenticity, spontaneity, and compassion with clients to her practice.

With a focus on the beauty and excellence inherent in each person, Leisa works with individuals framed in connection. She recognizes that dwelling on perceived flaws can lead to ego-driven disconnection and suffering created from early survival patterns. Instead, Leisa empowers her clients to shift their focus to self-acceptance and recognition of the survival patterning of childhood, guiding them on a journey from pain to thriving.

In the wake of global events like Covid-19, which have continued to underscore the stress in relationships, Leisa sees an opportunity for new learning and a fresh perspective on how we engage with ourselves, others, and the world. She believes in embracing this "new space" for relationships, driven by a deep sense of longing, belonging, and connection that is inherently human.

Leisa's therapeutic approach is grounded in raising awareness to one's inner life, beyond personal narratives. Through a blend of humanistic, attachment-focused, and inter-personal methodologies, she facilitates experiential processes that build resilience and capacity to navigate life's challenges. Leisa integrates various therapeutic modalities, including mindfulness-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Self-Compassion, Schema/Parts Work, and Gestalt Therapy.

Whether working with young adults, older adults, couples, siblings, or partnerships of varying configurations, Leisa offers support across a spectrum of psychological and emotional concerns. Her warmth and care create a safe space for clients to explore topics such as general mental health, anxiety, depression, relational trauma, conflictual relationships, couples therapy, communication skills, addictive behaviours, grief & loss, stress management, identity, and more.

As you embark on the therapeutic journey with Leisa, you will find a mirror of yourself in her empathetic guidance, helping you navigate the complexities of life with self-awareness, self-acceptance, and the tools for positive change. Take the courageous step toward a healthier, more connected version of yourself with Leisa's expert guidance.
