Many people come to therapy carrying more than they show — the pressure to hold everything together, the quiet exhaustion of being the strong one, and the need for space to breathe. Frances offers a calm, supportive environment where you can slow down, settle your nerves, and speak honestly about what’s beneath the surface.
Her approach draws on Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Internal Family Systems, the Gottman Method, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Compassion-focused practices. As a Psychodynamic Psychotherapist in training, Frances meets you where you are with gentle curiosity and insight, helping you make sense of your experiences and connect with your own strength and clarity.
Originally from Darwin, Frances has worked with diverse teams and across cultures in private sector and government agencies, leading the development of a profile of neurodiversity through personal coaching and team training. Management experience spanning over twenty years has given her an understanding of the pressures and complexities people face, especially in demanding positions. She has also worked creatively in the arts and health fields as an aerial performer, yoga teacher, and massage therapist — experiences that shape her holistic, compassionate way of working.
Whether you’re navigating relationship challenges, stress, grief, or major life transitions, Frances offers a space to explore, heal, and grow at your own pace. She will support you to create a life of greater intention, self-acceptance, courage and peace. Her hope is simple: that you leave each session feeling more connected to yourself, more supported, and less alone.
“If we are going to find our way out of shame and back to each other, vulnerability is the path and courage is the light. To set down those lists of what we're supposed to be is brave. To love ourselves and support each other in the process of becoming real is perhaps the greatest single act of daring greatly.”
— Brené Brown
“What if it was true that there are no bad parts, only burdened ones frozen in the past that needed to be unburdened rather than punished?”
— Richard C. Schwartz
“Feelings come and go like clouds in a windy sky. Conscious breathing is my anchor.”
— Thich Nhat Hanh
“Our sorrows and wounds are healed only when we touch them with compassion.”
— Buddha
