How a Telehealth Session Works
1. Book a time Choose an available appointment online. You'll get a confirmation email with everything you need.
2. Join by video A secure link is sent before your session. No app to download, it opens in your browser.
3. Meet your psychologist Sessions run for 50 minutes, the same as an in-person appointment.
Common questions
Do I need a referral? Not for a private appointment. If you'd like a Medicare rebate, you'll need a Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP first.
Is a telehealth session rebated the same as in person? Yes, when Better Access eligibility requirements are met.
Where in Queensland can I be? Anywhere. Our psychologists are registered nationally, so we can see you wherever you are.
What if I've never seen a psychologist before? That's common. The first session is mostly about understanding what's going on for you and deciding together where to start.
